Chief of Staff

Brittany is the most recent addition to the Academy’s staff. She is supporting Mr. Stern in holding the many aspects of the Academy’s work, internally and externally. Her professional career has been in different roles and contexts, but the throughline has been operational responsibilities and problem-solving. She is eager to discover how those skills can transfer to support the Academy’s mission.

Brittany joined the Academy feeling a deep resonance with its mission, even its name. She wrote her master’s thesis on the relationship between love and knowledge in Plato, so the Academy for the Love of Learning seemed like a perfect fit! She explored that question while earning an M.A. and reading great books at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, and she also holds a B.A. in Political Science from Buena Vista University.

Brittany is an avid reader, yoga student, home cook, amateur musician, hiker, and green chile enthusiast.
