Program Support and Community Outreach

Marissa Roybal provides vital support for Academy programs, events, and outreach to the community.

She has been a crucial team member in the Academy’s Leadership Initiative and coordinates partnerships and relationships with community members and organizations. A seeker and thinker, Marissa is energized and intrigued by the Academy’s mission and finds that being part of the Academy allows her to immerse herself in the questions of life in a deeper way.

Marissa has more than 30 years’ experience in customer service, administrative support, bookkeeping, property management and event production. For thirteen of those years, she was self-employed, offering those services as a personal assistant to multiple clients at any given time. This honed her creative problem-solving and helped her develop a comprehensive skill set for a variety of situations.

She is a native New Mexican and attended the Art Institute of Seattle and the Santa Fe Community College. She worked in the music business in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s locally and in Seattle, Washington, and continues to make live music an integral part of her life. Again, she is fascinated with the music industry, as she witnesses her son grow and emerge as a professional musician, performance artist, producer, lyricist, and recording engineer.
