We invite all school staff to join us at no cost including administrators, counselors, school nurses, social workers and of course, our teachers.

Reflection and Emergence: A special anniversary event
Join Academy President and Founder Aaron Stern for a special screening of Leonard Bernstein’s one-act opera 'Trouble in Tahiti', followed by a conversation focused on how this masterpiece relates directly to today’s times. Central to our inquiry will be the question that most occupied Lenny (as Aaron knew him) in the last decade of his life: “Don’t we never learn?”, and Aaron's deep conviction that indeed we do learn: we transform, and become better at being human.

Retreat
Multi-day Event | June 4th - 6th, 2018
This annual institute is a 3-day retreat for educators.
Each summer, educators gather together at the Academy for the Love of Learning for three full days in order to reflect upon and let go of the year that has just drawn to a close, and to imagine and envision the year that is to come. Through shared experience, reflective practice, time in nature, and artistic expression, participants are able to renew, reawaken and continue to learn and thrive in their practice as educators and open up to transformative and positive change within themselves, their organizations, and their communities at large.
