Over the last eight years, the Academy has witnessed and helped support a growing community of teachers committed to experiential, joyful, enlivened teaching. Join Aaron Stern and the Academy for the Love of Learning as we convene these “awakened” teachers for a day of dialogue, inspiration and imagination.

Our first ever Winter Gathering of Teachers provides a unique opportunity for teachers from across Santa Fe to share experiential teaching approaches and methodologies they have developed through Academy workshops or from other resources.

During the workshop, Aaron Stern and the workshop facilitators will invite teachers to identify and reflect upon practices, approaches, ideas and resources that have made their teaching more enlivened and effective. How can teachers in Santa Fe further support and uphold this type of teaching within the public school setting? How can we grow a true “community of practice” of reflective, experiential educators?

The Winter Gathering for Teachers is the newest addition to longstanding Academy Teacher Renewal programs such as the Teacher Renewal Saturday workshop series, Teacher Renewal Summer Institute, Wisdom Circle and El Otro Lado in the Schools.
