Awakening Creativity

Toward a Culture of Renewal and Reflection for Educators

with Aaron Stern, Academy Founder, and Livia Vanaver

In this era of ‘no child left behind’, how can we move from frustration and exhaustion to a place of renewal and inspiration, and in a sustainable way?

We invite you to join us in an exploration of learning and creativity, using the arts and self-reflection as a vehicle to evoke our work. This can create a rich field for regeneration and the discovery of wholeness in our selves and in our work as teachers.

This exploration will be co-led by Aaron Stern, founder of the Academy for the Love of Learning, and guest teaching artists. There will be opportunity to explore these questions in this initial 2 1/2 day session with the possibility to co-design a longer-term ongoing renewal process that can help you keep your heart and passion in teaching.

Together, we can strive to ensure that no part of any child is left behind….

What:

A series of two-day workshops to re-ignite interest integrating

the “art-part” into our lives, as teachers, and into the lives of children,

in the classroom – with teachers and artists working together.

Why:

Integrated arts instruction awakens the creativity in all of us.

Help imagine and plan the future of arts integration in the school

district and community and receive 12 hours of staff development time
