Martha Graham wrote,” I believe that we learn by practice. Whether it means to learn to dance by practicing dancing or to learn to live by practicing living, the principles are the same… Practice means to perform, over and over again in the face of all obstacles, some act of vision, of faith, of desire. Practice is a means of inviting the perfection desired.

What does it mean to learn as a practice? The Academy’s LEAP workshop invites participants into the Impulse Exercise, a learning experience designed by Academy founder and president Aaron Stern over thirty years ago. This exercise, which is followed by reflection and meaning-making, has given people from all walks of life new insights into what opens up learning for them, and what may block it.

Inspire Santa Fe mentors, participants in the LANL Foundation Conference, and other familiar with Academy programming are encouraged to join us.

Facilitated by Seth Biderman and Academy depth facilitators.
