The Wisdom of the Space Between

We need each other, we human beings, in order to learn and grow; to be witnessed; to be heard; to be met with interest and compassion; to be understood; to be drawn forth; and at times to be challenged. These powerful and transformative – and often mysterious – experiences arise as the intrinsic wisdom of ‘the space between’ when we are truly present with each other. As colleagues and friends, is it not our natural responsibility to support one another’s learning, helping to birth new understandings, insights, and meaning.

In this workshop, you will be introduced to the Academy’s Partnering process as a method to be fully present with another person with the intent of supporting their soul’s urge to learn and flourish. You will experience the contemplative, somatic, and expressive qualities that contribute to deep listening, and joining with a partner at the core of their learning process. And you will gain a direct sense of what it is to be received and supported by another’s presence.

During 2017, the Academy is offering six one-day workshops expanding upon some of the topics of our popular Evenings of Exploration and exploring the overarching question: Who Am I? Each of the daylong foundational workshops is designed around an exercise from the first phase of the Academy’s two-year training: Leading by Being, and introduces you to the Academy’s learning model and some of the methods and theory central to our work. Through experience and interactive dialogue you discover how the intentional practice of learning can lead not merely to the accumulation of knowledge and skill, but also to personal transformation and the expression of your innate gifts and unique qualities. You can take these workshops individually, or you can enroll for the whole series.
