El Otro Lado in the Schools Kick-Off Gathering- Teaching Artists

During this all day gathering the eight Teaching Artists come together to learn about the El Otro Lado guide and experiences and discover what it means to be a Teaching Artist through the Academy Learning Practice. El Otro Lado in the Schools brings classrooms alive through story-based, arts-rich experiential learning in Santa Fe Schools. El Otro Lado matches classroom teachers with artists to engage in a yearlong exploration of family identity and culture, sense of home and belonging, and unique stories. Through sharing stories, teachers and students learn to see each other in new ways.
