Reconnecting to our Second Nature
Deepening our relationship with the natural world.
This Evening of Exploration asks: "How can we reawaken a deeper relationship with the natural world? What unconscious beliefs and assumptions might we hold that are contributing to this feeling of separateness?"
Date: Thursday, July 13th, 2017
Time: 6:30 PM- 9:00 PM
Location: Academy Campus in Seton Village
Notes: Please RSVP. As this is a short experiential workshop, please arrive by 6:25pm.
As modern humans, we’ve largely forgotten that we are an inherent part of the larger natural world. This indigenous understanding has been replaced by a false sense of separation between humans and nature, with increasingly disastrous consequences. If we are to restore a balance among all living beings and move toward a sustainable future, it is imperative that we re-access our experience of interconnectedness; that we reconnect to our second nature.
In this evening of exploration we will begin to:
- Explore our innate connection with the natural world
- Reflect on our conditioned beliefs and assumptions about humans and nature and their relationship
- Recognize our capacities to communicate with the non human world
