The Waging Peace Space, an emerging project of the Academy for the Love of Learning, seeks to connect with individuals of all ages who (1) have experience with learning to be the change they wish to see in the world, and/or (2) hold an intentional commitment to the process. We envision creating a space that will be a resource for those who wish to unlearn harmful patterns in their minds and bodies, and author new ways of being that bring alignment, goodness and well-being into their lives, and into the lives of those around them.

What is the Waging Peace Space?
Growing out of the Academy for the Love of Learning’s core program, “Leading By Being,” our Waging Peace Space is premised on the belief that in order to bring positive change into our lives and communities — which have been greatly damaged by the forces of colonization and oppression — we must unlearn old patterns, and learn to be that change within our selves. To that end, we envision the Waging Peace Space will be a resource for those who wish to unlearn harmful patterns in heir minds and bodies, and author new ways of being that bring alignment, goodness and well-being into their lives, and into the lives of those around them.
Currently, our Waging Peace Space is in still in its emergent form. To build the space, we are looking to hold conversations (60 minutes, online) with people who have experience and/or deep interest in such an unlearning/learning process. If you or someone you know has this experience or interest, and is willing to share in support of the development of our Waging Peace Space, please apply to join us in the “How do I apply?” section below.
Participants will receive a $100 honorarium, in the form of a gift card.
Please note: Though we anticipate that we will not able to interview all applicants, we will follow through via email with more information for anyone that applies.
