The Academy for the Love of Learning celebrates its annual Seton birthday event this summer with the opening of a new art exhibition. A dozen contemporary artists have been invited to create prints, drawings, paintings and sculpture inspired by Seton’s nature writing.

The exhibition will open with a reception for the artists on Sunday, August 11th from 2pm – 4pm. This event is held each year in honor of artist/naturalist Ernest Thompson Seton who was born 159 years ago. The Academy’s art gallery is located next to Seton Castle, the artist’s residence during the final years of his life.

The event culminates with our annual Champagne Toast to Seton commemorating his fostering a love of nature and a love of learning in those who read his books and saw his artwork.
